Heather Chernetski Psychotherapist MS, LPC-IT
Heather is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Training (LPC-IT). Heather works with clients ages 3 and older, and has experience dealing with issues such as trauma, anxiety, depression, anger, self-esteem, and behavioral issues. Heather has an eclectic approach, using primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Client-Centered techniques (depending on the particular client’s need), and can also do Play Therapy with younger children.
She also co-facilitates Social Skills groups through the agency. Heather obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Carroll College in Waukesha in 2009. She went on to receive her Master’s Degree in Community Counseling from the Concordia University of Wisconsin in 2011.
Jennifer Eggert, Psychotherapist MS, LPC-IT, NCC
Jennifer graduated from Mount Mary University with her Master of Science in Counseling, with a Clinical Mental Health Counseling specialization, whereby she graduated as a National Certified Counselor. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a Minor in Sociology at Carroll University. While completing her Bachelor’s training, she worked with a child psychologist who specialized in working with youth who had ADHD.
During her Master’s program, she completed her practicum and internship at Rogers Memorial Hospital, working on their residential and partial hospitalization units with children and adolescents who had anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorders. While working on these two units, Jennifer commonly worked with children who had Generalized Anxiety Disorder, OCD, ODD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, phobias, and Trichotillomania.
Here she implemented a strict CBT-ERP approach. Overall, Jennifer’s approach to therapy is that first and foremost, a client should feel comfortable and supported through their journey to better mental health, which aligns with a Rogerian client-centered approach. In addition, CBT and play therapy is utilized. Jennifer has vast knowledge on young children as well, having worked with children for 15 years either in a counseling, teaching, or caregiving capacity.
Meagan Grosskreutz Psychotherapist LPC-IT
Meagan has experience working with clients ages four through adulthood providing individual, family, couples and group therapy. She has an eclectic approach to counseling using the following approaches as needed: mindfulness, client-centered, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, narrative therapy, art and play therapy.
Meagan specializes in anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, LGBTQ, anger, parenting issues, self-esteem, life transitions, communication issues, panic disorders, stress management, and family concerns in addition to working with individuals who have disabilities (physical, learning, and cognitive) or chronic illness and their families.
Based on personal experience, Meagan is aware having a loved one with a disability or chronic illness not only impacts the individual in its own unique way, but also impacts the lives of the parents, grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins. She is able to adapt her approach to fit the needs of each individual client.
Karissa Kesselhon Psychotherapist MS, LPC
Karissa is a Licensed Professional Counselor who works collaboratively with individuals and families utilizing a strengths-based approach. Her primary background is working with at-risk and troubled youth or any youth-relevant issues. She is also a trauma-informed provider who has completed individual training in accommodating the needs of children as well as adults who have survived various types of traumatic experiences. Karissa works primarily in an outpatient setting and provides some in-home services.
